FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES & PROGRAMS

Family support Work consists of assisting individual clients and their families. People can come into the office, be seen at home or be visited in hospital. The Family Support Worker provides information, casework, counselling and support in such matters as:
  • Marital Issues
  • Alcohol/Drug Abuse
  • Parenting
  • Domestic Violence
  • Intergenerational conflict
  • Relationships
  • Loss and Grief
  • Income and Finance
  • Health and Mental Health
  • Separation and Divorce
  • Legal/Police
  • Care of Elderly
The Family Support Worker is available by appointment from
Monday to Friday between the hours of 1.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.

The service is confidential and free of charge.

SUPPORT GROUPS FOR WOMEN

Group Support is offered to women of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities. Women can meet in a friendly atmosphere and take part in an interesting and varied program which includes:
  • Guest Speakers on subjects of general interest
  • Womens Health information sessions
  • Visits to agencies/departments/service providers
  • Art and Craft sessions
  • Demonstrations and Workshops
  • Lunches and outings
The groups have a say about what they want in their program throughout the year. It is their program and they may be as involved as they choose.
